Last week was an incredibly busy week at school with the elections taking place for our School Council, Eco Committee and Sports Ambassadors. The children all voted (over 250 votes!) for their class representatives and the School Head Boy and Head Girl. I can truly say Carr Mill Primary is a fully democratic school – our children have a voice that is heard! Thank you to all the children who ran for election – we are all incredibly proud of you and even if you didn’t get selected, you are all going to have an important say in our school and I can’t wait to hear your many ideas of how we can make the school even better.

Friday was made all the more special, thanks to the Worshipful Mayor of St Helens, councillor David Banks and the Mayoress of St Helens, councillor Jeanette Banks, both presenting our children with their ‘Yellow Ties’.

A big thank you to all the Parents and Carers who came into school on Friday. It was great to see you all taking the time to celebrate with the children. I think you will all agree, the children’s work and knowledge of British Values / high expectations are certainly worth celebrating!
