Sporting Competitions

Iszzy and Connor (our head and deputy Sports Ambassadors) are updating this page with sporting events which the school have entered!

Year 2/3 have the James Roby Festival coming up soon and 3/4 girls have a football competition coming up.

Well done to Y6 who won an athletics copmpetition at Broad Green, despite being 1 team member down.

Year 4 have recently had a intra rugby competition.

Year 3/4 entered a tennis competition and played well.

Recently our football team (boys) have had 2 matches. The last match was very close and they lost in the dying seconds 3-2.

The girls played a football tournament and did very well! They then had a football match that evening!

We were due to have a football rematch with Rainford (week of 20th February) but it was cancelled due to the weather!

Week of 27th February: Year 4 have a footaball competition coming up, as do Year 5.

Multiskills Competition (February 20th): This was held at our School and a team from across the Year Groups won a trophy. They were a credit to the school and really enjoyed it.

Gymnastic Competition: Year 4 took part in a gymnastics competition and did a fantastic job of representing the school!

Football (Multi Skills Year 2): They have a fantastic afternoon (23rd november) playing different multi sports football activities at Liverpool Academy.

Football (November 16th): Tournament at Liverpool Training Ground. Finished second and the boys got to meet a Liverpool player! See the pictures.

Football: match v rainforest lost 4:5 to follow by Connnor Taylor

Rugby (October 19th): year 4 took part in a Tag rugby tournament at Cowley against other schools. They really enjoyed the experience.

Kurling (October 18th): year 1/2 did Fantastic and won the tournament. Watch out for pictures with the trophy!

Woodlands Cup October 6th (Year 5/6):

Football: We really enjoyed playing it. We won two of our matches but unluckily lost our last game. There was a great team spirit and I was really proud of the team. We all shouted 'Yes I can'.

Rugby:We lost our first match and drew our second but unforunately lost our second. However for many of us it was our first time playing. We enjoyed it and we also shouted 'Yes I can, Carr Mill'.

Mrs Wilson and Ms O Donnell took it (but they missed out on tea and coffee). We got free water and fruit and we also took part in the mini sports game. This was where you had to get timed jumping over hurdles!

Carr Mill are hoping to get the Silver Sainsury's award in 2017/2018!
