Bonfire Night

Date: 10th Nov 2017 @ 1:38pm

The children came to school very excitable on Monday, it must have been the fireworks!

This inspired us to create lots of firework art. We started with making the shapes and colours using oil pastels on large black paper. This allowed the children to make big marks.

Then we had a go at making orange by mixing the red and yellow paint with our fingers to make a bonfire.

Once the bonfire was dry, we used scissors to snip kitchen roll tubes and splayed the ends, these were fabulous for dipping in the paint and printing firework explosions in the sky.

Some children enjoyed making firework pictures on a small scale using the scratch art.

On Friday it was very windy outside, so we used coloured streamers in the air to make firework shapes.

What a busy week!smiley
