Superheroes and Princesses Charity Day

An enormous thank you for all your support with our ’Superheroes and Princesses’ Charity Day. As usual, the effort everyone goes to on days like this is incredible—it really means a lot to have parents, carers and school staff working so hard to make such a difference. Everyone has joined in whole heartedly (I think raising money for such a good cause, while dressed as Superheroes and Princesses, is the future according to our children!).

First estimates suggest we have raised over £200, a total that will be donated to the Rock FM ‘Cash for Kids’ Charity, a charity that supports disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the North West. A special mention to Jack B of Year 2 for suggesting the Charity Day—it is because of you that this money has been raised.

And why not play 'Guess the Teacher!' with the photos below? Let me know what you thought of the day on the Headteacher's blog at the top of this page.

Year 6 SATs—our very own Superheroes!

This week, our Year 6 children have been sitting their SAT tests. A lot has been said about the ‘new’ SAT tests this year and they have certainly been more challenging then ever. However, I am incredibly proud of the mature, resilient, determined attitude of each and everyone of our Year 6 children—they are a real credit to their families and school.

Congratulations to Jason A, Maisie D, Shannon T, Nathan P, Kaitlyn W, Louis S, Leah P, Josh, F, Reece B, Lily R, Ella M, Philip M, Alicia CN, James B, Tia B, Connor R, Sol C, Tejay H, Rebecca C, Bobby K, Teila Y, Jack H and Bradley H. Be very proud!

Thank you for the support you have giving to the children at home and to Miss Harris and all the school staff for guiding them through a challenging week.

Friends of Carr Mill—Monday 16th May

Friends of Carr Mill is a group of parents, carers, family members and friends who are involved with school life and support fund raising ideas. Anyone is welcome to come along to the meetings, the next one of which is on Monday 16th May, to discuss and plan ideas for a Summer Fair (to be held on Friday 15thJuly).

We look forward to seeing anyone who is interested or would simply like to find out more.

Many thanks,

Mr Maley

So did I Keesha. There were some fantastic costumes on show, and even better was the fact that all the money raised went to a good cause.
