Class 1 (Year 1) 2023 - 2024
Miss Sims
Welcome to Class 1!
The adults who work in our class are Miss Sims, Mrs Kenyon and Miss Lewis.
Class 1 is a Year 1 class at Carr Mill. In Year 1, the children begin the National Curriculum and will learn through a variety of engaging, hands on and exciting activities. This will sometimes be as part of a whole class or as a small group with an adult and for some of the time they will have the opportunity to learn independently and alongside their friends by choosing their own learning.
Please check out our seesaw page to see what we have been learning in class.
Useful information:
P.E.- P.E. takes place every Tuesday in Class 1. We ask that the children come to school on this day dressed in their P.E. kit.
Homework- Homework is set each Friday on Seesaw. Each week there will be a Maths and English homework to complete. We ask that these are completed by the following Wednesday.
Reading- Children will bring home two books per week (on a Friday) that match their level of reading in Star Skills. Please support us by reading with your child a minimum of 4 times per week.
Lots of our activities are shared on X (formerly Twitter). You can follow @MissSClassOne for frequent updates about what is happening in Class 1.
