First week back - Chestnut

We have had such a busy week in Chestnut class. 

We have been reading a lovely story called 'A River' and we have enjoyed thinking of adjectives to describe scenes from the text. 

Year 1 children have been learning about numbers to 20 in Maths, whilst Reception have been learning all about repeating patterns. 

In Science, we have been finding out about habitats and that plants and animals are suited perfectly to where they live. 

Next week is Maths week in school and we have lot of exciting activities planned.
